Painting Holidays in South Africa

About

I was an infant teacher for 25 years. When I relocated to South Africa, I ventured into Internet marketing following my interest in art, plus I wanted a way to share my lovely new environment with artists around the world so that they might enjoy painting it’s beauty. South African Painting Holidays was born and keeps me happily employed now. I organize tours around South Africa for artists of all abilities. Our forte is finding fantastic locations for artists to paint while still including enough adventure so that everyone gets immersed in the whole feel of Africa, culturally and visually.

Hi, my Dad is keen to do art lessons. He lives in Gillitts, near Hillcrest. A painting holiday might also interest him. He very recently lost his wife, our Mother, and so I’m hoping he’ll adopt this as a hobby. I believe he’s got raw talent for drawing…just never been taught and doesn’t know techniques. Can you advise where he can do lessons and also let me know the cost of a painting holiday, and when the next one starts ? Many thanks. Norman

      Hi Norman
So sorry to get back so late no excuse other than having a good time!
Can I suggest that you or your Dad phone a really good artist friend of mine Marion Townsend I will send you her details by mail. She is an excellent teacher in the same area as your Dad. Good luck and happy painting.

Hi, we are coming to SA in Jan 2010 primarily to watch England play test cricket and I would like to paint with local people on a short course which I did last time we came. I wonder if you have any suggestions or could give any contacts that could help? Many thanks.
    Kind Regards

      Hi there
Nice to have you returning to South Africa again. Our holidays are for 8 or 12 nights and take you to several interesting locations in KZN where you can paint with a tutor and other artists and leisure painters, whoever is on that particular tour. You can check out this brochure to find out more. If I can help some more I will do so gladly. Let us know what you decide to do, won’t you?
